Solid wood flooring
The charm and beauty of natural solid wood flooring remains an enduring choice for many. The texture and grain of the wood underfoot gives warmth and natural comfort, and when installed in a room exudes a timeless quality and tranquillity for many years.
Solid wood is unsuitable for rooms that have variable humidity, moisture or are susceptible to seasonal changes. Underfloor heating affects solid flooring by drying out the wood and therefore causing shrinkage and warping of the planks. For rooms with underfloor heating or high humidity, Natural Solutions Engineered wood flooring is advisable.
Engineered wood flooring
Natural Solutions Engineered wood flooring retains the natural look and appeal of solid wood, but is enhanced structurally for improved stability. This structure is composed of multiple layers of timber stuck together, finished with a final layer of hardwood which can vary from 2mm to 6mm.
Natural Solutions Engineered wood flooring is robust and is ideally suited for use with under-floor heating systems and areas of high levels of humidity, such as bathrooms and kitchens as opposed to Natural Solutions Solid Hardwood flooring.
